Café Muse, located in the heart of Budapest, is looking for dedicated professionals to join our team as a full-time Barista and Café Manager.
Barista Position
Responsibilities as a Barista:
- prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages and other drinks
- take precise food and beverage orders - our cafe is fully alcohol free
- welcome, seat and provide exceptional customer service to our customers
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and customer areas
- assist in inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- receiving deliveries, participating in stock management
- handle payments and cash transactions efficiently
- collaborate with the team to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements:
- previous experience as a barista or in a similar role preferred
- knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment
- basic communication skills in Hungarian and English, friendly attitude
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Café Manager Position
Responsibilities as a Manager:
- oversee the daily operations of the café, ensuring efficiency and quality
- ensure guests are satisfied throughout their stay
- handle payments, transactions, reports efficiently
- assist with restaurant setup and closing duties, help, advise and manage the team
- manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations
- maintain inventory and settle orders with suppliers for restocking
- responsibility to follow health and safety regulations
- address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly
- handle daily, weekly and monthly manager tasks – including ordering, creating, checking and calculating staff hours, handling emails, tracking incoming invoices, payments, paperwork related responsibilities
Requirements:
- relevant Experience in Management and providing great, polite hospitality service
- strong English and Hungarian knowledge: We have an international team; therefore, our trainings and team meetings should be done in English
- strong leadership and organizational skills
- proficiency in inventory management and staff coordination.
- excellent decision-making abilities
- proactive approach to Problem-solving – a manager meets situations where he/she needs to solve tasks, make decisions, and the team should be able to rely on his/her problem-solving skills
- attention to Detail: The jobs require attention to detail in preparation, presentation, and hygiene standards
- flexibility: Willingness to work on weekends and holidays if needed
