Assistant General Manager
_Job Summary_
We're seeking an experienced and ambitious Assistant General Manager to support in leading our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant operations, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities:
- assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations
- lead and manage a team of supervisors, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff
- drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction through effective leadership and strategic planning
- maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
- assist with inventory management, labor costs, and other operational expenses
- foster a positive and inclusive work environment
- ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menus and promotions
Requirements:
- proficient in Hungarian and in English
- 2+ years of experience in restaurant management, preferably as an Assistant General Manager or similar role
- proven track record of success in driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction
- excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- basic math skills and experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems
- *proven ability to effectively manage the floor of a high-paced restaurant*, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring seamless service
- *quick thinking and problem-solving skills*, able to handle last-minute challenges and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure
- an extensive knowledge of the Fruitsys system
